Computer Science Corporation (CSC) announces TAG as a Protégé under the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Mentor-Protégé program
Sun Developer Connections Partner Program Ensures Hardware Development Based on the Latest Sun Technology

Dulles, Virginia

CSC has named three small disadvantaged businesses (SDBs) as new partners in the company's Mentor-Protégé program. The companies are Infinity Technology Inc. (ITI), a woman-owned SDB; PEMCCO Inc., a minority-owned SDB; and Technology Advancement Group (TAG), veteran-owned SDB. All are participants in the Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development Program.

Through Mentor-Protégé programs, large companies such as CSC foster supplier diversity by supporting selected small businesses (usually disadvantaged), to help these businesses become stronger and more competitive. All departments and agencies of the U.S. federal government and some state governments have mentor-protégé programs. Support for protégés may take the form of developmental assistance, business and technical training, marketing support, and strategic business planning.

CSC's own Mentor-Protégé program has been active since 1995. The three new protégés follow eight other SDBs that have graduated from CSC's Mentor-Protégé program. For three consecutive years, CSC has participated in Mentor-Protégé teams that have received Nunn-Perry awards for outstanding performance.
